Dreaming of hot chocolate, whipped cream, sprinkles, gingerbread or peppermint mochas? Me too. Must mean it’s that time of year for your favorite holiday drinks! 😍
Thanksgiving is two weeks away (!!) and then we’re in full holiday mode (thankfully!). Which can only mean one thing – the return on festive seasonal beverages! And as the holiday season approaches, coffee lovers anxiously await the reveal of their favorite holiday menu items. Whether you’re a Starbucks, Peets or Dunkin’ loyalists, you gotta love the delightful array of seasonal beverages – in so many traditional and unexpected flavors! – that capture the essence of the holidays.
From rich and creamy lattes (I like mine extra extra hot) to soothing chilly refreshers, there’s something for everyone’s taste buds. Whether you’re cozying up by the fireplace or catching up with friends, settling in with a warm blanket to watch a Hallmark Holiday Movie marathon, or grabbing a much-needed pick-me-up while out holiday shopping, you have to admit that these holiday drinks are the perfect mood-lifter to warm you up and get you ready for the season.
Here are the five holiday drinks I’m most excited to try in the coming months!
Iced Sugar Cookie Almondmilk Latte at Starbucks
Yummm! I know it’s untraditional to start with a cold beverage, but Starbucks is speaking my language, with this new concoction that blends their signature Blonde Espresso roast with sugar cookie flavors and almond milk on ice. A dash of red and green sprinkles make this a perfect cool treat. I bet this would be PERFECT after a day of running around the mall, or if you happen to live in a warmer climate but still want a taste of something cozy and comforting.
Peppermint Dark Chocolate Latte at Coffee, Bean & Tea Leaf
How comforting does this one sound! Not only do you get the rich, decadent flavor of dark chocolate, but with a peppermint twist that just envelops you in holiday spirit! I could probably drink one of these every day (extra hot of course) — and I’d say this would be my beverage of choice for perfect holiday movie viewing.
Holiday Spice Latte at Peet’s
I can imagine how sweet, spicy and absolutely incredible this one smells! This drink promises “notes of cinnamon, ginger, allspice, cloves, and nutmeg with hand-pulled Espresso Forte and freshly steamed milk.”
Cookie Butter Cold Brew at Dunkin’
Another entry for cold drinks, just the name alone has got my attention! This drink promises “ultra-smooth cold brew with notes of brown sugar, topped with velvety-smooth cookie butter cold foam and cookie butter crumbles.” OK, absolutely sold! 🍪
Candy Cane Hot Cocoa at Dutch Bros
And to round out the list, we gotta have a hot chocolate. And you can’t go wrong with peppermint and chocolate milk with candy cane sprinkles. I’ve heard good things about Dutch Brothers – I’ve never tried coffee here, but I’ve heard great things. I’m going to have to track one down!
What are your favorite holiday drinks?? Let me know what I should try 🙂
